Yahoo mail team announced today a new version of their web-based email client. It comes packed with a lot of improvements like:

• Status-casting within mail. This will be a game changer for status updates.
  
• Applications Box organized in the bottom left hand side.
• Improved attachment management, including some nice features for photo attachments like preview, rotate photos and the ability to select multiple files at once to upload.
• Simplified email filtering
• Optimized font size for better readability
• Calendar and Notes are now under the Applications group. Still no redesign for the two services.
• Improved tab management and some tweaks made at the color scheme.
